Small-batch cattle, goats & sheep

Cattle program

Small‑batch cattle selected for calm handling, soundness, and practical hardiness — with transparent notes so you can buy with clarity.

What we prioritize

Practical cattle for real farms.

Our cattle program is designed for buyers who care about day‑to‑day usability: animals that move calmly, hold condition, and fit a working routine.

  • Temperament & trainabilityConsistent handling matters — especially for family herds and smaller crews.
  • Structural soundnessWe watch feet, legs, movement, and overall balance (within the limits of visual evaluation).
  • Maternal practicalityWhen history is available, we consider mothering behavior and general steadiness.
  • Realistic fitWe match animals to your goals and environment — not to a marketing story.

Cattle program FAQ

Short answers for the most common questions. If you don’t see yours, contact us.

Do you provide health papers or vaccination records?
We share the notes and records we maintain for each animal or group. Requirements vary by destination and transport method. If official documentation is needed, coordinate with your veterinarian and transport provider; we’ll support the process where possible.
Can you guarantee temperament or performance?
No. Temperament and performance depend on environment, handling, nutrition, and management. What we can do is share our observations and be honest about what we’ve seen.
What breeds do you raise?
Our focus is functional, working cattle suited for our region. Breed makeup can vary by season. If you have a specific preference, mention it — we’ll tell you what’s realistic and what isn’t.
How does pricing work?
Pricing depends on the animal/group, season, and documentation available. We give straightforward quotes and explain what’s included (and what isn’t). No surprise add‑ons.
Can I visit before buying?
Sometimes, by appointment. Biosecurity and herd routine come first, so we keep visits structured. Many buyers start with a call and photos/video where available.
How do I reserve animals?
For some groups we may take a small deposit to hold an agreed pickup window; for others it’s first‑confirmed. We’ll explain the terms clearly before you commit.
